This parquet is a re-edition of the classic Versailles parquet seen in the Chateau de Versailles in France as well as many other castles of the 17th and 18th centuries. It is made by "Companion Guild Artisans" who are the most skillful and recognized artisans in France.
For a lifetime integrity of the flooring no glue is used; only pegs that allow the natural movement of the wood.
Other Parquet panels can be found on the market, but none can match this quality if they don't follow the traditional artisenal fabrication. Stapled and glued panels are sure to fail after a few years of installation because of the lack of appreciation for the natural expansion and contraction of the wood.
Our Versailles parquet is sold in panels that are 1 square meter, 2cm thick. They are unfinished and ready to be stained and sealed according to the design installation.
